Costlier teams are not performing in DLF IPL

Hi friends, Good afternoon and I have just recovered from viral fever which hunted me for a week. How are u all doing? Sorry for being irregular.

It is strange that costlier teams which are participating in DLF IPL T20 tournament are not performing well. Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries had bought the Mumbai Indians paying 111.9 million dollars and Vijay Mallya of the UB group bought the Bangalore Royal Challengers for 111.6 million dollars. The Deccan Chronicle group bought the Hyderabad Deccan Chargers for 107 million dollars.

Coming to performance of the Mumbai Indians, this team is yet to play as a unit and Sachin Tendulkar is also not yet played in this tournament due to groin injury. Harbhajan Singh made mess of his career by slapping Sreesant in front of public but thank god the Mumbai Indians started winning all the matches after the exit of the head strong sardar. Shaun Pollock is leading the team very well and Robin Uttappa, Bravo, Nayar, Nehar are showing consistency in their performance. I hope Sachin makes some difference to this team.

Bangalore Royal Challengers team is sitting at the bottom of the table and Rahul Dravid is struggling to make the team play like a unit. Vijay Mallya recently removed the CEO of the team and appointed new one and even planning to remove the coach of the team. But the real problem is that this team has too many test playing players. They are J Kallis, Rahul Dravid, Anil Kumble, S Chanderpaul & the list goes on. The above said players are not known for big hitting. I hope this team plays remaining matches with some competitive spirit.

The Hyderabad Deccan Chargers is another team which is struggling to win the game under pressure. Deccan Chargers have too many big hitters in the team but nobody is in the form and the bench strength of this team is underused by the team management. The team management is expecting too much from Adam Gilchrist, H Gibbs, S Afridi & Scott Styris and ignoring players like Charma Silva. Andrew Symonds left the team because he needs to represent for his national squad and Laxman had a hairline fracture on his wrist made the team even weaker. Rohit Sharma, Laxman, Symonds & Adam Gilchrist are showing some consistency in batting but remain players are yet to show their skills. I hope Deccan Chargers show some consistency and win the remaining matches.

So finally, the costlier teams are not playing up to their potentiality and for how many days franchises will keep the liability players in the team are a big question mark. In my next post, I will write about the other teams in IPL until then take care and bye.
