Hi friends, the match between Chennai Super Kings vs Kolkata Knight Riders was very interesting but rain interrupted the match. Kolkata Knight Riders scored 149 for 5 in its 20 overs. Thanks to a wonderful knock by Salman Butt 73 in just 54 balls (10 fours and 1 six) but the top order batsmen of Knight Riders did not score much. Ganguly (2) and Hussey (0) were big flop before the home crowd in Eden Gardens, Kolkata. M Ntini took 4 wickets and bowled a tight line for Super Kings and was awarded with Man of match.
Chennai Super Kings did not lose any wicket and were ahead in run rate according to D/L method. When the play was interrupted by the rain then Super Kings score was 55 for no loss in eight overs. Chennai Super Kings won the match by 3 runs (D/L method).
Another match was played yesterday between Hyderabad Deccan Chargers vs Mumbai Indians in Hyderabad. Deccan Chargers won the toss and asked Mumbai Indians to bat first. This match was won by Mumbai Indians by 25 runs and I would blame that Deccan Chargers bowled the last overs very badly and gave away too many runs. Mumbai Indians some how reached the 179 in 20 overs and A Nayar (38 in just 24 balls), Jayasuriya (36 in just 15 balls), Sachin (23 in just 19 balls) and Bravo (30 in just 17 balls) played important knocks.
Deccan Chargers lost the first wicket when the score was just 7 in the second over of the match. Afridi got out for zero and later in the 5th over Gilchrist got out for 13 and then next ball Rohit Sharma was also out. Deccan Chargers were 20-3 in 4.3 overs and Venugopal Rao builds a partnership with Charma Silva but was no use. Deccan chargers lost wickets at regular bases and were not able to reach the target of 180 in 20 overs. Dwayne Bravo was named the Man of the Match. Deccan Chargers are already out of the tournament and Mumbai Indians registered its third consecutive victory. That's all for now friends and will be coming up with more.
