South Indian actress Trisha Krishnamurthy

Hi friends,

Good Evening, I am sharing my views on Trisha...Trisha Krishnan is one of the most popular south Indian actresses and she is young, talented and charming. Her birth name is Trisha Krishnamurthy and she was born on May 04, 1983 in Palakkad, India. Her father is Krishnan and her mother is Uma Krishnan. She has got several advantages to shine in the film field like her ability to handle multiple languages with ease, her frisky and charming nature and a very attractive body structure and many more.

Friends call her ‘honey’ and once you come to know this beautiful young thing, you will know how sweet this honey actually is. She speaks English, Hindi, Tamil and French. She completed her education in Ethiraj College and Church Park College. She was a very good student and everybody in the college wanted to be her friend.

Trisha is the only child of her parents and she still lives along with her parents and her grandmother. Even from her school days she used to participate in cultural programs and other competitions like dance competition in the school and clubs and drama competitions. During this period she got interested in the ballet dance and she couldn’t resist the temptation to join a dance class. She loved all performing events specially dancing. Her teachers and fellow students loved her for the kind of talent she displayed. She studied in the same school as former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J.Jayalalitha

She started her career as a model. She had been a model for many popular brands including Pepsi, Fair and Lovely, Medimix, Josco Jewelers, Prince Jewelers, Kumaram Silks etc. Young Trisha nabbed lots of attention from these add movies and she has become one of the most familiar add film models after doing all these big add films.

During her modeling periods, she tried her hands in the Miss Chennai Contest 99 and nabbed a stunning victory; she also bagged ‘Miss Beautiful Smile’ title in the femina contest. She cat walked for almost all the leading designers in south India and she also appeared in a hit Phalguni Pathak video called ‘Meri Choonar Ud Ud Jaye’.

She started her movie career with a cameo role in a movie called ‘Jodi’ in 1999 and this was a good starting for her because a leading role in a movie was waiting for her in the near future. That happened with her next movie called ‘Leysa Leysa’ (2002)-a Priyadarshan movie in which she played the titular role of Balamani.

She had to face few flops during the early stage of her career in the form of ‘Manasellam’ and ‘Alai’. But this never affected her confidence and she continued to work hard and she always tried to give everything she has got to each and every project she signed. This dedicated and hardworking attitude always kept her right on track and in the same year she won critical acclaim for her wonderful performance in ‘Mounam Pesiyadhe’ opposite to Surya.

Later she signed a movie called ‘Sammy’ against Tamil superstar Vikram and the movie was one of the biggest hit of that year. In the very next year she delivered another huge hit in the form of ‘Gilli’ with Super Star Vijay. In 2004 she won two major awards viz Filmfare Best Actress Award (Telugu) and Santosham Best Actress Award for a film called ‘Varsham’. Another film she was called up for was Mani Ratnam's Aayitha Ezhuthu with Siddharth Narayan, Madhavan and Surya, which was the only time she dubbed herself for a film.

Her 2006 hit Telungu film ‘Stalin’ created a national record by collecting Rs. 130.8 million in five days, this film is one of the biggest international hits from south India ever. She is currently acting in one Telugu film, Aadavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule opposite Venkatesh directed by Selvaraghavan. She also has three Tamil films, Bheema with Vikram, Kireedam with Ajith and Sathyam with Vishal. However Vishal's next movie will be Malaikottai.

Although she had to face several flops and averages in the beginning and almost in all phases of her career, she was always successful enough and powerful enough-in personal level and industry level- to place her bright in the skies of the south Indian movie industry as a glittering star masking all the blemishes. But when compared to the huge hits in her bag her defeats are so tenuous that it doesn’t even appear on the screen of her life.

Her movie idols are Julia Roberts, Tom Hanks & Manisha Koirala and her favourite movies are ‘The English Patient’ and ‘Silence of the Lambs’. She loves music, reading and animals. And she remembers that the most unusual thing she ever tried is calling a spirit!
